In an effort to take in more of the outdoors, we decided to explore the Santiago Creek-Wilderness Loop Trails in Santiago Oaks Regional Park just outside of Villa Park, CA. These are an amazing set of trails and like many descriptions, they take you through a variety of scenery.
The first trail we followed let us up a steep hill just off of the parking lot. Proper footwear for the win.
After meandering through several trails (a hike can go on indefinitely if you really want it to) we made our way down to a more wooded area. We followed the Santiago Creek Trail and caught wonderful views of the creek, the old Submerged Dam and the native plant life.
